A New Bridge Club in Sheepscombe

A friendly ‘practice’ bridge club for

Students, novices and newcomers to duplicate bridge

at Sheepscombe Village Hall Thursdays (fortnightly) 7.15 to 9.45 ish

The club is for anyone who wants to improve their bridge or just meet and play friendly bridge. Initially it was launched for ex-Sheepscombe students, but everyone is welcome – people who want bridge practice, people who want to try duplicate-style bridge and have time to think, or any Bridge students.

Partner not required, just turn up and play. All you bring is a love of bridge and a wish to practice and learn. Initially we will play pre-dealt hands and discuss the hands as you go, with advice on bidding and play.   In future different types of evening may be organised depending on demand. Players are welcome to use crib sheets or any other reference material providing this doesn’t slow down the play too much

Cost £4/session covers mid-session refreshments, hand preparation and organisation.

To find out more and register please contact Hugh Tarran - mailto: sheepbridge@tiscali.co.uk

On the alternate Thursdays when there is no ‘No Fear’ Club, the long established Sheepscombe Bridge Club meets at the Village Hall for duplicate bridge competition. Everyone welcome & equally friendly. For more details follow link.
